A Bit About Me

There are a few parts of me that I hope you can understand as you consider massage and finding a massage therapist that is a good fit for you and your body/mind/soul.  We are all human.  I strive to understand you, your individual story, and accept you for who you are.  I affirm the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, differently-abled people, elders, and those living with mental health challenges.  I attempt to recognize my privileges, how they impact me and others, and ways I can shift my actions.

My purview is global.  I thrive when I am learning and challenging myself with something greater than myself.  There's so much of the world to understand!  I love traveling, adventure, exploring new places, and getting a little lost with a map.  I lived in Thailand and Ukraine, and spent time exploring Turkey, Russia, China, Costa Rica, Poland, Italy, Canada, Mexico, The Bahamas, and many states in our beautiful USA.  The most tranquil and magnificent place I've ever been is Lake Baikal in southern Siberia.

I am forever grateful for my loving spouse and being a mother to three humans.  I get to be "mom number two" to two of my children, and a bio mom to one.  I have two fur babies, a golden retriever Leo and miniature pinscher Ernie.  I deeply value my family and closest friends, who I consider my inner circle.  I enjoy camping, hiking, and being outside.  Spending time in nature grounds me and reminds me of how perfectly chaotic everything is.  Don't get me wrong, I also enjoy a cozy Sunday afternoon on the couch snuggling my loves.

I embody the energy of a sea turtle and elephant on a typical day, though my protective nature of a bear finds its voice when needed.

Work Experience

2024-present

2018-2020

2010-2016

Finally in 2024, I have an opportunity to share with you my dream, and years of  experience, growth, knowledge and understanding of the mind & body, as I launch Inner Spaces LLC.  This is not only for me and my family, but for you.  I hope you'll take time to consider working with me as a part of your journey to finding connection and balance within parts of yourself.

In 2018, I again craved knowledge and wanted more.  I wanted to understand not just the body, but the mind.  I took a leap into graduate school at University of Wisconsin-Stout where I earned a master of science degree in clinical mental health counseling in 2020.  Currently, I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor, providing individual & group psychotherapy and urgent care services to students at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

In 2010, I graduated with a bachelor of science degree in sociology from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.  I then joined and served the US Peace Corps in Kerch, Crimea, Ukraine from 2010-2013 and returned to the US to work as an advocate in Taylor & Rusk counties for survivors of domestic and sexual violence for three years.  Within the system of working as an advocate, I was exhausted, drained, off balance and knew it was not sustainable.  I was drawn to find a different way to help heal and support people.  I began studying therapeutic massage every weekend for a year at Serenity Now School of Massage in Wausau, WI and became licensed in 2016.
